Long - Jane Smith

Mrs. Jane Long of Rt. 7, died at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital after a long illness. She had been in the hospital seven days. A native of Kentucky, she was a daughter of George and Elizabeth Daniels Smith and was born July 13, 1910. She married Alfred Long in 1926. He died April 26, 1971. Surviving are a brother, George Smith of Detroit; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Saylor of Alva, Ky., and Genice Daniels of Smith, Ky.; a nephew, Harrison Smith of Rt. 7, and niece, Mrs. Charles Goff, also of Rt. 7. Funeral rites will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Powers Funeral Home, with interment in Barnesburg Cemetery at Somerset, Ky. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday. – jlr
